Three times the rock for launch

A trio of top Keighley rock bands unite tonight to launch the long-awaited first album by Circus?.

The four-year-old three piece will be selling copies of their 15-track CD during the gig at the town's Chrome nightclub.

The action begins at the Low Mill Lane venue at 8pm with Breene and continues at about 9pm with Wet Paint.

Circus? will be showcasing new songs alongside old favourites during an hour-long performance beginning around 10pm.

Circus? have played around a dozen gigs in the 12 months since Mike Gott replaced Toby on bass guitar.

The line-up also includes founder members, singer/guitarist Tony Ousey and drummer Mickey Waddington.

Circus? promise a more complex but still distinct sound, with touches of punk and grunge, tonight. Admission £3.

n Blondel and The Big Bang celebrate Valentine's Day tomorrow with a concert at Sutton Village Hall, formerly St Thomas' Hall.

Proceeds of the £5 gig will go to Airedale children's charities.

n Folk-rock band the Demon Barbers host their monthly night at the Love Apple, Great Horton Road, Bradford, on Sunday.

Also performing are singer-songwriters Paul Southern and Pete Morton, one jazzy and bluesy, the other acoustic and folky.
